Hi! I’m Stephanie.
I approach therapy by tailoring the work according to the individual I am working with. I want to help everyone be their own best self-expert. If you’d like a therapist that responds tactfully but genuinely and who listens actively, I’m your pick. My job is to bring the space and structure where you can safely unpack your life for a little bit and get some support in sorting through it all. My job is to help you feel validated where you are and encouraged in where you want to go.
I am a collaborative, integrative therapist and generally appreciate mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and solutions-focused approaches. If you don’t know what any of that means, that’s ok! During our first few talks, we’ll go over what you’re looking for and the goals you’d like to accomplish. Therapy is your time to do what you need to do. If I have ideas to share, I’ll let you know exactly why I think they might help so you can decide for yourself. Overall, I will incorporate the skills and techniques into what feels like a natural conversation.
I am a multicultural, female-identifying person living in Houston, Texas. I’ve called different states and countries home, but I love finding ways to carry a sense of belongingness with me. I seek to respect every person’s identity and their expressions of gender, sex, religion, spirituality, disability, and all the factors that make them who they are.
